Hi! I'm Shannon Cotterill and I own and operate Bloom Photography. I established Bloom in 2002, initially specialising in pregnancy, newborn and family portraits - I then ventured into wedding photography and found that I had a real passion for it!

I am a perfectionist by nature and I feel this helps me with my craft - no detail is overlooked. I love the excitement and emotion of weddings and I feel it is a privellage to be asked to capture such a special moment, a real honour and one that I do not take lightly. I work with an assistant on the big day, I have a great team who I work really well with! Kristy, Kathy, Nadina, Kim & Sol also love what they do and this shows with their enthusiasm at every single wedding. They are all great people and I enjoy working with them - I am sure you will too!

Portraiture is the other side of Bloom and I still get amazed at the beauty of a gorgeous big pregnant belly, a tiny pink newborn baby or a cheeky toddler! I am focused on capturing these moments in our lives that go by so fast, I feel it is important to have these memories to look back on.

Photography and people inspire me, I thrive on creating images that will move people on an emotional level. I can assure you that I am dedicated to giving each and every one of my clients a great experience and exceptional images.
